On January 12, 2010, the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere, Haiti and its nine million inhabitants were forever scarred as a 7-magnitude earthquake devastated this tiny country. In the wake of this devastation, over a million were left homeless, 230,000 people died and more than 300,000 were left permanently injured. At first, donations flowed, but more than two years later, with resources scarce at best, untold thousands still wait in dire need, having suffered devastating injury and loss of limb.
On Friday August 10th, 2012, Quon and OnePatient Global Health Initiatives will come together to host a benefit concert. The funds, in large part, will be used to acquire much-needed prosthetic limbs bringing functional independence back to the lives of mothers, daughters, and sisters alike. Please join us for a night to remember as we seek to restore life in the aftermath of this earthquake and failing relief efforts.
Taking the stage will be Dr. Nadim Ahkter and his band Quon, along with Dr. Dan Ivankovich and members of the Chicago Blues All-Stars.
The benefit will be held at the Angels and Kings on the ground floor at the Hard Rock Hotel, 230 N. Michigan Ave. from 7 to 10 pm on Friday, August 10th, 2012.
Your dollars will change lives . . . OnePatient at a time.
